Service Terms & Payment Policy

1. Payments
Invoices are due by the due date on the invoice unless otherwise stated and agreed to.
- A late fee of 1.5% per month (18% annually) may apply to balances unpaid after 15 days.
- Services may be paused or suspended if payment is not received on time.
- If a service is suspended due to non-payment, a $50 reactivation fee may be charged.
- Credit card payments include a processing fee equal to the current rate charged by our payment processor. This can be waived by paying via ACH, check, or other non-card methods.
- If monthly payments have been arranged and approved in advance by Idea Rocket Labs, payments are due on the agreed-upon dates. Failure to make timely payments may result in the entire balance of the project becoming due immediately, and access to the client's website files may be restricted until payment is made in full. Please note, the website and all associated files remain the property of Idea Rocket Labs until the full balance is paid. There is no penalty for early payment.
IMPORTANT: If any portion of your balance is past due, all services—including hosting, email, website access, and ongoing marketing—may be suspended until the account is paid in full.
1A. Credit Card Convenience Fees
All credit card payments include a convenience/processing fee equal to the current rate charged by our payment processor. This fee helps offset processing costs and will appear as a separate line item on your invoice.
How to Eliminate This Fee:
You may pay by check or ACH (bank transfer) to remove this charge. If you choose one of these methods, simply subtract the convenience fee line item from your total before submitting your payment.
2 Hosting Services
Hosting is a recurring monthly service and must be paid by the due date to remain active.
If hosting is not paid, your website, email, and associated services may be suspended.
To cancel hosting, clients must notify Idea Rocket Labs in writing (or email). Hosting remains active and billable until cancellation is confirmed.
Clients are responsible for moving their files, website, email, and data prior to cancellation. If you need help with this, migration fees will apply.
3. Website Design & Development
- Website projects require a signed agreement and may include a deposit or milestone payments.
- Final deliverables become the client’s property only after the final payment is received.
- Delays in client communication, feedback, or content delivery will impact timelines. Delayed work will be rescheduled based on Idea Rocket Labs’ availability and may be placed behind other scheduled projects.
- Reasonable revisions are included as outlined in the proposal. Additional large revisions beyond the agreed scope will incur additional charges.
4. Paid Advertising Management (Google Ads, Meta, etc.)
Clients pay Idea Rocket Labs a monthly fee for ad account management.
Ad spend is billed directly to the client by the ad platform.
If management fees are not paid, all management work will be paused until payment is made and any applicable reactivation fee is paid.
Idea Rocket Labs is not responsible for results or campaign performance, as many variables—such as budget, competition, and algorithm changes—are beyond our control.
5. SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
SEO is a long-term strategy. Results are not guaranteed and vary depending on competition, site quality, search algorithms, and other external factors.
Client cooperation (e.g., approving content, implementing recommendations) is essential to effectiveness.
Payments are due monthly, regardless of fluctuating rankings or performance.
6. Email Marketing & Social Media
Deliverables (e.g., campaigns, posts, calendars) must be reviewed and approved in a timely manner.
Delays in feedback can impact deadlines or posting schedules.
If recurring service is paused due to non-payment, timelines may reset based on our availability.
7. Branding, Copywriting & Graphic Design
Services are quoted by project or hourly rate.
Revisions are included as outlined in the proposal. Additional revisions or major scope changes may incur extra charges.
Final files are delivered upon full payment.
8. Domain Name Registration
If Idea Rocket Labs registers a domain name on your behalf, the registration fee will appear on your invoice.
If the invoice is unpaid, the domain may expire or become publicly available.
Idea Rocket Labs is not responsible if a domain is lost, becomes unavailable, or is registered by someone else due to non-payment.
9. Third-Party Services & Integrations
We may use or recommend third-party tools, plugins, software, or platforms (e.g., hosting, email services, analytics, scheduling tools).
Idea Rocket Labs is not liable for outages, changes, price increases, or performance issues with these third-party providers.
Clients are responsible for maintaining their own accounts with any required logins or subscriptions.
10. Cancellations & Termination
Either party may terminate an agreement with written notice.
Work completed up to the termination date will be invoiced and must be paid in full.
In the event of cancellation during a monthly or retainer service, no refunds will be issued for partial months.
11. Ownership of Work
Final deliverables (designs, websites, content, etc.) belong to the client only once the full balance is paid.
Until paid in full, all work remains the intellectual property of Idea Rocket Labs and may be withheld.
12. Limitation of Liability
- Idea Rocket Labs shall not be held liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, data loss, or service interruptions.
13. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to resolve the issue through binding arbitration in the state of Iowa, with an arbitration provider of Idea Rocket Labs’ choosing.
Each party is responsible for its own legal fees.
14. Updates to Terms
These terms may be updated periodically. The current version will always be linked in your invoice footer or available at idearocketlabs.com/service-terms-payment-policy and is effective immediately upon posting.
