PPC Management FAQ

PPC stands for pay-per-click advertising and is a great way to drive targeted customers to your website, products, and services.

Hence the name, with pay-per-click, you pay every time someone clicks on one of your ads and the price per click varies based on how competitive the keywords you're targeting are.

PPC is a bidding platform that shows the ads of the highest bidders before the lower bidders. Keywords are sold on an auction basis so more competitive keywords will cost more per click than less competitive keywords.

Google states that on average, businesses generate $2 for every $1 spends on their ad platform, which is a great investment and ROI. Of course, results will vary.

When an ad is viewed by a person it's called an impression, which is free.

When someone clicks on your ad, that's an ad click and you'll be charged for that click to your website or app download.

Ad costs are determined by a number of factors including:

  • How much your competitors are willing to pay
  • How relevant your ad is to your landing pages
  • How well your ad copy is written
  • How well your landing page performs and how successful your ad is

PPC ads can have many places they can appear including:

  • Google Search Network on Google search result pages (SERPs)
  • Google Display Network - Relevant websites that allow graphic display ads on their sites
  • Bing Ads
  • Social Media Ads on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, SnapChat - Contact us for a separate quote for social media ad management

What you're likely seeing is remarketing ads, which we highly recommend.

Remarketing ads work by setting a cookie on the user's computer when they visit your website and then target them with your ads across other websites.

We generally recommend that you do bid on your brand name to help make your presence more visible on a search results page and take up real estate on that page to make multiple options for your customers to get to your website.

This depends on your ad budget but we do recommend you do so.
